trying to push my environmental painting skills and understanding of colour.

Kinda just floundering trying to figure out a solid direction
These blocky, flat shapes were picked because of their reminiscence to an anvil, but while i liked it, it also felt somewhat one-dimensional.
Ultimately i leaned into the imagery of crashing waves and that the buildings would be reminiscent of this, since its a heavily maritime culture.
